It's weird to say that it's only been a few years since Ana Huang first burst onto the scene as one of the biggest romance writers in the game. In a genre that is filled with so many legends like Julia Quinn and new found loves like Jasmine Guillory, Casey McQuiston, and Meghan Quinn, Ana has carved a path of her own. Like many other writers, she started off the indie space and has since broken her own kind of ground thanks to the massive success of BookTok and the boom of the romance scene.
It's easy to write it off as a mix of luck and chance, but it's far from that. It's all part of her plan especially considering how far in advance she's still planning her next couple of projects. The former social media creative used her skills to her advantage to build a fandom that is unlike any other. And now with a brand new series, which kicked off with The Striker, and her third #1 New York Times Bestseller, things are just getting started.
"Just three, four years ago, I was still working my day job at a little cubicle in corporate America. And it's kind of wild that I'm able to be where I am today," she told Cosmopolitan.
Ana has already announced her plans for 2025 which will include the next book in her Kings of Sin series, King of Envy, and the second book in The Gods of the Game series, The Defender. But with the whirlwind experience that these last few years have been, she's also taking the time to slow down, reflect, and plan for a bigger future.
Cosmopolitan caught up with Ana just a few days after The Striker's release to catch up on what her future plans are, how she's planning her next big move, and the power of taking some time for herself. |
